Art/Writing Contest

As well as providing a venue for professional artists, the Crosstie Festival encourages young amateurs to develop their creativity in various ways. Cleveland schoolchildren have been busy lately drawing and painting, writing poetry and short stories. Winners in the Children’s Art and Creative Writing contests, sponsored by the Junior Auxiliary of Cleveland, will be announced at the Festival at 3:00 p.m. on the Jazz stage. Their work will be displayed for all to enjoy. Children across Bolivar County as well as North Sunflower Academy are invited to participate. All schools will receive information and a contact person will be established from each school.
